I save worms, but not people. I typically always save worms outta the sun when taking my walks I cnt imagine them being hurt by the sun rays. I move them out the sun, into the ground. I’m always looking to save the worms lol. Well why I’m I so fixated on saving worms. As a kid me & my sister would help our parents garden & while doing so we play in the dirt pull the worms out. This particular time we pulled them out on a super sunny day left them out ! We totally forgot about the worms we dig out ! My father walked pass as we remember about the worms noted that we killed the worms ! So from that day forward I made it my duty to always save worms out the sun. I have the courage to not be a by stander to a worm in the sun. In a situation with a human being who look like she needed my help, i became the bystander. I was walking pass 2 boys & a girl, the much taller boy walking ahead. The shorter boy walked along side the girl. The two were far behind the taller boy. The girl and shorter boy I remember from they other day the lil girl is my neighbor👧🏿 thé shorter boy is her play mate. Today it didn’t seem like they were having much fun! No it did not, in fact it look like the girl might have needed my help. The shorter boy had his hand over her shoulder & held her other hand around wat looks like her wrist or hand. She pleaded 3 times 🚥 “ shorter boy take me home I want to go home take me home “. She sounded concerned. I brush pass the group thinking to my self it starts early you know. Men & women relationships, boundaries, and consent. She pleaded she said 3 times to take her home ! He refused held on to her as he walked in the opposite Direction of her home. I just thought to my self, her boundaries are being crossed. She’s isn’t informing them consent to take her else where other then her home. She needed my help, I was the by stander I just walked pass & thought to my self those boys shouldn’t go against her will. Yet I was there as an adult to speak up. I Suppose I am a custom to the duty of a more feminine role in relying in men or males to be the protectors. In this Instance I needed to be the protector. Help her réforce her boundaries, it starts young. It really does 👀 It starts with the lil things the refusal to walk a young lady home after she asked 3 times in a row while he hold on to her tightly. By Over stepping her boundaries, or disregarding her consent !
Please teach the babies & young tweens about boundaries & consent even with the lil things. 🎀
